Why Leap?

   

  To search the definition of the word Leap, you will find: To move quickly or abruptly from one condition or subject to another. So what does it means when it represents as a company?
  
  Sorry, I forget to introduce myself. I am Martin who works at Leap Electronic as a sales coordinator in Taiwan. When I first get into Leap, I only saw the abbreviation "LP". First thought came to my mind is "Linking Park" or a wrister brand. However, I realized why this word "Leap" can represent our company till I worked here for a while.
  
  For most of our customers, we are known as a IC programmers manufacture. That's because we are TOP 3 in this field in Taiwan. We starts from releasing ICT-1, the first IC Tester in Taiwan and first Standalone Gang Programmer Leap-1200 in Taiwan, 1985. That's the first Leap, we leaped from some general purpose instrument since 1980 to Semiconductor areas. From 1985 to 1990, we even designed the first world first PC extend interface protector PCFACE-1. And from 1990 to 1995, we release more world first products, such as Handy Universal writer and EPROM writer. To be honest, there were so many world first models in Leap. But I have to just stopped from here for the number one history, or this article will never end.

   It is easy to make connection between IC programmers and IC testers and IC emulator, which we have a whole product line. But not so many people knows we are also the first manufacture of Standalone Logic Analyzer in Asia. Few years later, we devoted to the Automated Programming System field. Meanwhile, we release Surge Tester, many kinds of experimental trainers, and now, we even have a robot !

  So no wonder we are "Leap", aren't we? As I know, we are the only IC manufacture that also have so many test equipments. It takes courage and many efforts. And that's what we always do, never stop but leap. We will keep moving to the best in any fields, that's our spiritual. Frankly speaking, we got some balls. We accept any challenge till we can be the best. 

  To be honest, I think we are not so well known in the world market, even we have distributors almost anywhere. (Not to mention China, we have a branch there.) Talking to programmers, users will think about Elnec or Xeltek, some brands like that. But our products are very competitive to any famous brand. Not to mention test equipment, in fact , most of our customers even don't know we have test equipments.  But some of our test equipments are even better than many famous manufactures. And I am shame of this because that means we do not promote our good products successfully to the world. 

  But it's never too late, and that's why I apply a blog here, to share some information of our products , customers stories and anything valuable. I want people know why we are "Leap" and most important of all, why you have to choose Leap.
