10 Reasons for using our Logic Analyzer





Almost every electronic laboratory is equipped with oscilloscope, which can provide operation and measurement results to the engineers through 2~4 channels. However, on the measurement of digital system, the engineers generally place a higher demand on the channel number, other than oscilloscope.

To avoid the shortcomings of common bulky logic analyzer with complex functional operations, Leaptronix has developed a compact and
easy-to-operate LA20 Series Logic Analyzer. This manual has 10 reasons to help the engineers make a deeper understanding of the logic analyzer, and also enable the designers to market their new products quickly.

Reason 1: To make you design more easily

LA20 Series Logic Analyzer is designed in such a manner that you can identify clearly the logic state during measurement process, and mark 0 and 1 directly on the waveform. In addition, LA20 series has the function of Glitch.


You can visualize small glitch on the screen if glitch is detected, or find out more information if capturing data at a higher sampling rate.




Reason 2: find out quickly your desired data in the captured data

LA20 Series can capture over 512,000 dots separately from 32 channels, and also make it possible to process bigger data size.

Zoom/shift function: a special oval shift key provides visual control of zoom and shift capture, of which up/down for adjusting zoom, and left/right for shifting the waveform. When this key is pressed and held, the waveform will shift more quickly, and you can shift data from one end to the other end within a few seconds.




Reason 3: analyze parallel bus

LA20 Series allows for establishing parallel bus. The codes can be displayed automatically provided that the channels are assigned with data lines. Meanwhile, 16 busses can be displayed and defined, enabling you to check the code data of parallel bus; additionally, the searching function permits to search for complete captured data, thus simplifying greatly your identification.

Reason 4: analyze serial bus

The serial busses, such as: I2C, SPI and UART, are extensively applied to embedded system for communication and initialization; if the captured data is decoded artificially, this cumbersome job will take a lot of time. LA20 Series can help the engineers define and then decode I2C, SPI and UART busses very easily.

The logic analyzer is characterized by its triggering function. Given the discrete triggering mode, the currently available products cannot capture accurately the data to be analyzed; LA20 Series enables the users to select three-level continuous/discrete trigger setting, and capture data more accurately without the trouble of triggering data; to ensure more comfortable operation and setting for the benefit of engineers, OR Trigger, Trigger Counter and Pulse width Trigger, etc, can help find out quickly the interest of the engineers.

1. The input end of every 8 channels is fitted with a probe that can be directly inserted into 2.54 mm pin header.

2. The probe of 1m can facilitate the measurement of signals at different areas of the circuit board.
